Jan. 31 Goodness

  1. Too bad that EA canceled Road Rash, especially considering that EA Europe, more notably, Criterion was developing the game.
  2. With films based on video games still being popular it seems that Fox Atomic, the brand of Fox films geared towards teens and young adults, is taking a stab in the genre with the plans for a Grand Theft Auto film in the works.
  3. The main reason behind the delays for Free Radical's Haze is that besides the game being a bit meh the studio is pulling staff members from Haze to work on Star Wars Battlefront 3 which is scheduled for a holiday 2008 release.

I know for sure that Fox Atomic bit is not remotely true.

Well to be honest I was even a bit unsure about the Fox Atomic thing. I can't go into exact details but at my place of employment Fox Atomic was a client and one of the titles they had listed was Grand Theft Auto so I just went with what I saw. And given that it was a year ago that I saw this I knew the chances of it being somewhat true would be slim. But what the hell, if others can do it I'll give it a shot.
